Converting an automatic Neon to a manual is really not that difficult, at least from my perspective. The bodyshell I resurrected my '95 ACR 4 door with was originally a stolen and stripped base automatic car. Here's what needs to be changed, so everyone can decide whether its worth the effort:
manual transI'm not sure, but the halfshafts may be different. Without the halfshafts, this looks like about $2000 worth of parts, new. Best bet is to get a donor manual wrecked car. Mine didn't have a drivetrain in it when I bought it. Donor cars work well because all the small items like sensors and bracketry that you may need are already there.
