| SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Whistle and/or hiss noise from steering gear when making right turns. |
| DIAGNOSIS: To verify noise, heat the power steering fluid to 155-165_ F by holding
engine speed at 2000-3000 rpm. Turn the steering wheel to the left and hit the stop ten
times. Turn the wheel to the right and hit the stop ten times. Repeat this for a total of
three times. |
