REPAIR PROCEDURE (SYMPTOM C): This repair procedure involves replacing the glove box door assembly with a revised part that has improved locating features that allows for a wider range of adjustment. NOTE: INSPECT THE GLOVE BOX DOOR INNER SIDE. PROCEED TO STEP 3. 1. Remove the old glove box door assembly by removing the three screws along the bottom hinge. 2. Install the revised glove box door assembly with the appropriate part listed in the Parts Required section. Do not tighten the retaining screws completely. Proceed to Step 4. 3. If the glove box door assembly was not replaced, loosen the three screws along the hinge to allow for adjustment. 4. Use a .06 In. (1.5mm) shim along the right edge of the glove box door to center the assembly in the instrument panel opening and tighten the three retaining screws before removing the shim. |
