When replacing the roof rail weatherstrip, it is necessary to remove the B- Pillar applique as part of the procedure, as outlined in the 1995 Neon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-5025), Pg. 23-19.

If the B-Pillar applique is not damaged upon removal (upper bracket is not broken or split, lower fastener housing is intact), a new replacement applique is not needed.

Additional parts have been released to service the B-Pillar applique for re- installation. The 4-door model applique uses an upper retainer, P/N 5303019 (black color), and a lower retainer, P/N 5303162 (white color). The 2-door model applique uses P/N 5303162 for both upper and lower retainer.

In all cases when the B-Pillar applique is removed, the old adhesive tape must be cleaned from the body and the applique. Use P/N 5303360 adhesive tape for installation.
