1. Verify that the A/C drain tube is free from foreign material and drains freely.
2. Protect the seats and interior of the vehicle with a drop cloth.
3. Start the engine, set the blower on HIGH, air on RECIRCULATE, turn the A/C compressor OFF, open all of the instrument panel vents and windows. Run the vehicle for 60 minutes to dry the evaporator.
4. Switch the system to outside air. With a shop rag block off 90% of the outside air inlets to increase air velocity (the outside air inlets are outside the vehicle in the cowl area).
5. Remove the wiper arms and cowl screen.
6 Shake the bottle of evaporator cleaner. Install the applicator to the cleaner bottle and connect an air supply with a minimum of 80 PSI to the applicator.
7. Spray the cleaner directly into the air inlet (as close to the air supply hole in the cowl sheet metal as possible) for 20 seconds or until the bottle is empty.
8. Wipe off any access cleaner from around the instrument panel vents.
9. Set the blower on High, air on RECIRCULATE, and the compressor OFF. Run
the system for 20 minutes to dry the evaporator again.
10. Install the cowl screen and wiper arms.
